How the Calculator Works
Each answer is worth 0 to 4 points. Your average sets your level on the 2.0 to 5.0+ scale, rounded down to the nearest half point, so a borderline answer never inflates your result. The skill you scored lowest on is the one to work on next.
Skill Level vs DUPR
Skill levels describe what you can do on the court. USA Pickleball says its skill level descriptions aren't official ratings. A DUPR rating runs from 2.000 to 8.000 and comes only from match results: every match has an expected outcome based on the ratings of everyone on the court, and beating it raises your rating. New players start as NR (not rated) until they log matches.
Is my rating accurate?
It's a self-check, so it's only as honest as your answers. Ask a partner who plays you often to take it for you too, and compare. Want to get better? Start with the rules and keep score with our free score keeper.
